Call for Applications for Battery Line Funding under PERTE VEC III

Madrid, June 11, 2024

PERTE VEC III

The call for applications was published on May 24 in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and is part of the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation in the Electric and Connected Vehicle sector (PERTE VEC).

With a total allocation of 300 million euros (200 million in grants and 100 million in loans), it aims to encourage investment in industrial production capacity for batteries for electric vehicles, their essential components, and the production or recovery of necessary critical raw materials.

To improve it, this call has modified its wording compared to the previous call for Section A of PERTE VEC II. The significant modification states that the minimum fundable budget for projects included in Section A must be 10 million euros.

Para poder optar a estas ayudas, se abrirá un plazo de presentación de solicitudes que comenzará el 17 de junio de 2024 a las 10:00 y finalizará el 19 de julio de 2024 a las 14:00.

The application submission period will open on June 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM and will close on July 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

At ICDQ, we hope that this new call for applications will be as successful as the first one (in which more than 90% of the funds were allocated) and that it will represent a significant boost for the Electric and Connected Vehicle sector.

The DNSH Principle (Do No Significant Harm) is a condition defined by the European Commission that requires conducting a self-assessment to ensure that an investment or reform does not have a negative impact on the environment.

ICDQ, accredited by ENAC, provides this validation process for the self-assessment, after which it will issue a Validation Report on the project’s compliance with the DNSH principle, which will be delivered to your organization.
