Environmental Certification for the Defense Staff Headquarters

Madrid, April 30th, 2024

On April 30th, 2024, the official delivery of the environmental certification according to the UNE EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System standard was carried out for the Defense Staff Headquarters of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of Spain.

In the photograph, Mr. David Galeote Godàs, General Director of ICDQ, presents the certificate to the Chief of the Defense Staff (JEMAD), Admiral General Teodoro López Calderón.

The Defense Staff Headquarters has audited its system according to the aforementioned standard, and ICDQ has assessed the conformity of this certification process, which encompasses vehicle maintenance, telecommunications systems and infrastructures; training, instruction, and training; management and delivery of sports activities; and accommodation and catering services.

This certification is evidence of the active commitment of the Defense Staff Headquarters to environmental protection, aligning and complying with Directive No. 107/1997, dated June 2nd, of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of Spain in this area.
